Full Scale Testing and Ice Research

AARC offers full scale testing in ice and research work in cold regions. AARC has a track record of about 200 full scale field tests and expeditions.
AARC has gathered an unique knowledge base from designing and constructing icebreakers and ice-going vessels for more than 50 years. There is no other marine consulting and testing facility in the world with such a large full-scale test correlation database, which is the one most important asset for correctly predicting real world physics from model testing.

The work includes:

Data aquisition and site studies, ice properties, ice condition studies, ice reconnaissance field trips with ships as reasearch platform or landbased helicopter operations. This work can site specific on verifying wider areal purposes.
